Christmas Eve Grand Canyon Day Hike Anyone?

I am planning on hiking the Grand Canyon Christmas Eve if anyone is looking for a long day hike. Well probably start the hike down at about 6 AM, heading down the S. Kaibab trail. Rest and relax at Phantom Ranch and return a few hours later via Bright Angel or even S. Kaibab again. Last time I hiked it, it took about 10 hours for the hike alltogether but that was also in early September Heat. I am planning on there being some Snow/Ice on the South Rim so be prepared.
