Anyone want to hike Havasu Falls with us?

Post by leheka »

My friend and I want to hike Havasu Falls either in March or April or May, but would love for more people to come out with us. We have lived here in AZ for a while, but have yet to find more people who are into hiking. We are fit and would not mind camping. We've spent nights in the car before, too. By the way, for any single men, she's single. So....just let me know!!! I know this might sound like a long way off, but my friend only gets weekends off work.

Plus you have to get the permits in advance! :)

We have a group going the first weekend in May- That would probably be good for you 2 since there will be men and women going.

I think we even have extra permits.

Let me know!

It's pretty easy to get permits for Havasupai compared to Grand Canyon NP. We're planning on going about the 3rd week of May, after I finish up my finals. If you go during the week you have much fewer people than on the weekends.

I've been wanting to go to Havasu Falls too. I was thinking April or May also. It's still a bit chilly down there in March. It sounds just awesome down there compared to Bright Angel or S. Kaibab trail. I also can only go on the weekend.

Hey there, davis2001r6 and I have been talking about doing this Hike for almost a year, we've done S. Kiabab and Bright Angel a few times but haven't yet headed down to Mooney falls but I think invitation from two single ladies is just enough to get us out there. I pretty sure you can count us in :D !

just for everyones interest, the Arizona Outdoor Travel Club (AOTC) is hiking here Fri. May 14-Mon. May 17th. They are starting the hike on Friday morning early, plans include a hike to the rope swing, Beaver falls and beyond to the Colorado river. You do not have to be a member, but they want additional $10 plus reservation fees. You also dont have to stay all 3 days. Leheka, your girlfriend can get Friday off by then right?
