Swimming holes in Prescott?

Post by rainsmom »

Me and another mom and our 4yr olds are looking for places to swim in Prescott area. We already go to Lynx and Banning Mine......which are both off of walker rd.

But I keep hearing that there are some in the Ponderosa Park area....and another in the Granite Basin Lake area besides that lake (which you cant swim in)

We also dont want to travel out of the county.......

ANyone know of some secret swimming holes? Promise, I wont tell anyone..........

In response to rainsmom's reply: there are some in wolf creek, near the waterfall, when the creek is running.

You might try up by the old Senator Mine (groom creek rd) below Hassayampa lake, with the rain we've had it could be full once again.

In response to rainsmom's reply: Dude, you have to go to Hasayampa creek. Just north of Wilhoit, go east on (kinda hard to find) dirt road until it ends. Maybe 3-6 mi. easy terrain, as far as driving is concerned. It is seasonal. I heard it is great right now. You have to hike up stream. It's cool. Enjoy! :) :) :) :)
