Coconino NF to close Tuesday, May 21

Post by nealz »

I just spoke to the folks at the Happy Jack Ranger Station in Coconino NF and they said they will close the Coconino NF to all backcountry access this coming Tuesday @ 12:01 a.m. Some of the established and developed campgrounds will remain open but there will be no fires, even in fire rings, allowed and no public access outside the immediate developed campground property.

I forgot to ask about the trails up Humphreys, including the Snowbowl route but it sure doesn't sound good. Hmmm.

Just saw something about that on the news last night; your right, it does not look good. :(
