Clear Creek Trail / GPS / Food containers ?

I am planning on visiting the Clear Creek area for the first time in late April. I have been searching online for a GPS map that might be useful and have not really found what I am looking for. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am taking S. Kaibab down, staying at Bright Angel campground for a night, then hiking into the Clear Creek area for two nights. Back to Bright Angel for one evening, then Indian Gardens for an evening, then up. I have been down twice before, although never up the North Side.

I have read and heard that there are no longer food storage options in the Clear Creek area supplied by the park. I am wondering what the best options are for this?

Any input/advice is greatly appreciated.

We just got back from the canyon...New Hance to Grandview loop. We were warned by the NPS of ravens at Hance Creek campsites and had heard of mice problems at Hance Rapids. I tried to buy fishing line at Babbitt's Gen. Store but they don't carry any; I had read that the mice can't scramble on the small nylon fishing line. But we ended up hanging our food stuff sacks from mesquite trees and off rock walls and had no invasions.

Being cautious is the key way of travelling and not depending on the NPS cans. Have fun

The Clear Creek trail is pretty straigt forward and you should have no problem finding it without one of those GPS things. It's a long and dry trail with very little shade so bring plenty of water along, you'll need it. As I was told by a ranger when we did our trip in January when you think you'll almost their you'll only halfway! Mice are definately a problem in the camping area and I would recommend getting a ratsack from armored outdoor gear. They're located in Flagstaff and do have a website. The sacks are a little heavy but work. They're basically a mess bag made out of the chain link metal that shark divers wear.
