The old stone house
I'm shocked not to find any information on the old stone house hidden in the hills of the Estrella Mountains. Am I the only one aware of this secret? I would have thought others had been there and have posted a thing or two regarding the hike.

Estrella rock house - spanish mine?
What part of the Estrellas are you referring to? It's a very big mountain range.
There's a web site I've found with info about an old Spanish mine located somewhere in the Estrellas, but the location is unclear. The author says it's 'Probably the third oldest house in Arizona, 200 years older than Monti's La Casa Vieja in Tempe'. See:
http://www.brazilbrazil.com/mine.html
BTW, the site also has info on the bogus Peralta Land Grant land swindle by James Addison Reavis, the 'Baron Of Arizona'. This included much of central Arizona, plus a sizable chunk of New Mexico. Seems he forged a false 'petroglyph' marker in the Estrellas to back his claim.
