Hey - June 1st is National Trails Day - Pat and I usually just do our own thing...find a trail, clean it up...last year we picked up trash at Usery...
Anybody have plans or know of an organized event?

Try the BSA
CK1 - have you contacted the BSA? They almost always have a couple of troops of kids that go out and do some work on the South Mountain trails for this day. They would be glad for the help I'm sure. The headquarters for the Theodore Roosevelt Council (most of AZ) are located in downtown Phoenix.

You may want to try the Volunteers of Outdoor Az. I don't have the website but the phone # is 602-522-9127 and the email is voa@dgcenter.org. They may have something going on. Cindy
