highest peak in superstitions??

Does anyone know what is the highest peak in the supes and is it climbable without technical gear???

Mound Mountain Peak, never been there but it's just a little bushwack, no climbing. It's in the eastern supes near circlestone.

Yes it is a little brushy as you hike to the top but it is not difficult to do. The most interesting route is to hike up from Log Trough Canyon/Stream. This area is heavily forested and there is numerous Indian ruins if you know what to look for.

One day years ago I was on the way to Reavis Falls and I met three hikers high on the trail hunkered down behind some rocks trying to read a map that was almost being torn out of their hand by the wind. They asked me where a particular set of Indian ruins were located. I responded by telling them that if they looked very carefully they were leaning against them.

That's not as bad as the time I found a soft spot on a rocky lake shore in Idaho. As a laid back and nestled myself in to unfold the map and check my position, I noticed that the soft spot was in fact an ancient pile of dessicated horse manure.
