Pine Mountain Wilderness group hike 8-25

Post by te_wa »

ok, this time I promise not to get lost... Hoffmaster and I have decided to trek into the Pine Mtn wilderness to camp overnight on the edge of the Verde Rim with fantastic views in every direction. It will be about a 4.5 mile hike on the first day which leaves plenty of time for exploration of the area. Day 2 is barely over 5 miles back to the car, but mostly downhill. There is a bit of steep section to bag the peak of Pine Mtn, but overall this is an easy-moderate "lasso" loop hike. We will be going counter clockwise of Teva Joe's description
There are several springs/seeps plus a perrenial creek along the way.
High clearance recommended. Mike

Alrighty, this looks like my last AZ hike as a local for some time. :o

What time?

I might have to work a little that morning, just to make sure things are up and running before I do a disappearing act. After that, I am only 10 min away from Mikey Dimple Cheeks house.

Great trip!

Hey, here's the vid of the guy riding the moose that I was telling you about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMCDsvCS3yw
It's not as cool as I remember, but it's a guy riding a moose!
