South Rim hike this weekend

Hiking this weekend (hopefully) down South Kaibab overnight at BACG then back up Bright Angel. So anyone know where the best parking is and what time the shuttle starts (is it reliable)? Thanks for the help, we are going a day early to check out weather and details from the BIC. Just wondering if anybody had better tips whose done it before.

Just park at Bright Angel Lodge and take the shuttle from there. There is a "hiker express" shuttle that runs straight there in the morning. Yes it's reliable +/- 5 minutes maybe. I can't find the exact times but Call 928-638-0591, thats the transportation desk.

I want to say the the hiker express leaves B.A Lodge an hour before Sunrise, during the day the shuttle runs about every 1/2 hour, but you have to take 2 different buses, it's easy just takes more time so try and get on one of the "hiker express" shuttles.

Actually check out This page. It says the hiker express runs at 7,8 &9am, but that the regular route starts at 5am. Doesn't make sense though.
