Superst. Route Help

Post by Storymaker »

We are backpacking the Superstition Wilderness next week and wanted to know if this propsed route sounds "doable" to those more experienced in hiking this area.
Beginning Early on Day 1 from Peralta TH
Peralta Trail to Dutchman Trail to Black Mesa Trail to 2nd Water Trail
Camp at 2nd Water Sprint
Day 2
2nd water trail to Boulder Trail to Bull Pass Trail to Dutchman Trail
Camp at Bluff Spring
Day 3
Dutchman Trail to Peralta TH (or take bluff spring trail to Peralta TH)

We are planning on two full days of hiking with a 2-3 hours on the morning in of the 3rd day

Anyone have any advice?? Does this sound like a good plan?

It may get quite hot out and there is little shade in any of your routes as you have them scheduled except for Boulder Canyon. As long as everyone knows the distances to expect, I don't see any problems.
