Mt. Kimball via Finger Rock Tr. Sun. Mar. 29
I'm getting tired of driving up the Beeline for all my hikes and I've been wanting to check out some of the better Tucson hikes that I can do as dayhikes from Mesa. Leaving my house again at 5:30am.

This is definitely a hike that you'll need to bring your hardhat for.

Re: Mt. Kimball via Finger Rock Tr. Sun. Mar. 29
No joke. This is one of the toughest hikes that you can find around Tucson. 4000+ feet of elevation in 5 miles, and the first mile only gains a few hundred feet. I'm just reminding myself how much fun this one is. Good training for the Santa Catalina Death March, but damn.

Re: Mt. Kimball via Finger Rock Tr. Sun. Mar. 29
works for me... i don't mind hardcore hikes as long as the scenery is good. i'm going to need something to take my frustration out anyway with all of this studying and that exam.

You will be impressed with the scenery, that I can assure you. Summiting Kimball via Pima Canyon is also awesome

I was considering taking the back way in via Florence Junction, but I'm open to suggestion. I can meet you guys somewhere and we can take the I-10 way. Let me know what your preferences are.

We can meet at my house and I can drive down, if everyone is ok with that. James knows where I live, I can PM my address if everyone is in agreement. Let me know.

Re: Mt. Kimball via Finger Rock Tr. Sun. Mar. 29
Chris, if you want to roll down the Florence Highway (which would be awesome in the early morning) we'll need to meet at your house. If you want to roll up I-10 we can meet somewhere near the freeway there as I live in central Phoenix.
sarichter, if you want me to pick you up on the way to the StillerMobile as I'm going to drive down the Red Mountain 202 to east Mesa.
If y'all are lucky I'll bring some Sepultura so we can rock out to the Official Band of the Santa Catalinas!

I was rocking Slayer all day. I think that's a bad sign, but I love it
