What interests you the most?

Post by PaleoRob »

So I'm already looking towards the spring (primarily because GG permits would need to be reserved in December), and wondering what sort of backpacking trip folks might be interested in up this way. These aren't the only options, obviously, but these are ones that folks have expressed interest in up this way. If there is something else people might be interested, let me know. Just seeing what interest is there.

I would like to backpack in to Rainbow Bridge from the south. It's on my to-do list.

I'm not as familiar with Grand Gulch other than your incredible adventure last March. I just think Rainbow Bridge seems so extra special. However, the trip may be above my level and if so, I can live vicariously through your trip. I, of course, would be interested in a Grand Gulch trip (if you choose that) as long as it's something a novice to intermediate backpacker can do.
For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.

I'm also in on the Rainbow Bridge option...however, I'm SO not really picky and would be happy to do Grand Gulch as well. Let's face it - you get me to a trailhead and point me in a direction and I'm a pretty happy camper! ;)

I feel an "Event" coming on. The Rainbow Bridge back pack is, in my opinion, one of the must do hikes in the SW. Seems someone wrote it up on here a while ago. ;)

Yeah, I told myself to avoid posting here, because I didn't want to skew the choice that's made, and then not be able show up. Sigh. I'd vote for RB for sure, though.

I've been in on the north trail and thought that was pretty fabulous would be interested in the entire loop. Some cool looking side canyons and some interesting historical signatures to be found. Hiking in shorts and sunshine at the foot of a snow covered Navajo mountain = priceless.
