Well??? How'd it go??? Not that I'm not 100% sure that it was wonderful, but since I couldn't be there, I want a blow by blow!

Re: Arizona Trail Talk at Summit Hut tonight
It went really well
I had a pretty good turnout and the audience was great! They laughed at all the right places and oohed and aahed over my slideshow. And when I asked who had been to my website, almost all of them raised their hands. I have been thinking about doing another talk in Tucson, maybe at a centrally-located library, and earlier in the evening. (8pm was a little late for some who wanted to come)
An exciting part for me was giving the details of my latest plan to section-hike the Grand Enchantment Trail. I will be doing another fundraiser, this time to benefit the Wildlife Rehabilitation Northwest Tucson, a place that has mostly birds of all sizes, from hummingbirds to hawks, but also mammals like rabbits, squirrels, bats, and the occasional bobcats. The Millers, who have run this facility out of their home for 15 years, spend more than $10,000 out of their own pockets to feed and house all the birds and animals. Details are in this post on my blog: http://desertsirena.wordpress.com/2010/ ... re-awaits/ I will be posting pictures from my volunteer work at the rehab center as well as my GET hike in the updates.
