Just for Hoolie - maybe we could have a sub forum just for the fun types of rants that Hoolie is planning - religion, lawers, politics, pop-up windows - that sort of thing.

Might be a severely entertaining forum - just a place to blow off steam.

Then again - it could take over the whole forum from the looks of things.

Hey, I gotta rant.

I'm sick of PC, Benson in the Arizona People's Daily, and the whinin' , hanky wringing, illegal alien supporting, Pimentel of the same rag.

Ya think it's time to hit the trail, hmmmm? Sheesh, I'm getting cabin fever....ain't been on the trail for months. Can't wait for the Fall.

Actually, the weather is good now for hiking, but you have to hit the trail right at first light (about 5:00 AM right now). I live way out of town, and I use the hours up to about 9:00 - 10:00 to explore the canyons and mesas in the area. Don't wait! Something could happen between now and the fall, and you might be wishing you had gone! You live near the Superstitions. If I lived that close I'd be there every weekend morning!

Which reminds me: I haven't hardly seen any rattlers at all this season. Is it just me or is there a shortage of them?

Yes. Naturally, no one wants to get bitten, but I'd like to think they aren't dying out from a snake plague or something. You know, rodent control, blah, blah...

Rattlers probably read there were a bunch of Scruffy gun-toting kokopellis runnin' 'round and have gone into hiding

Aw, they know I wouldn't hurt 'em. That's why they say hi when they hear me coming. Worst thing I ever did to a snake in the wilds is toss a (small!) pebble to get him to move so I could get past (and only because there wasn't a way around him). You'd have to be a scruffy gun-toting piece of sh*t to go killing snakes just for being snakes!
