My husband and I are going to be meeting a prospective Hiking Buddy on Saturday.
She is a 10 month old Australian Kelpie Mix, and would make a perfect sister to our pup Jackson.
I'm so excited! Can you tell?

Congrats! Getting a new pup is always great. Photos from the first hike please...
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Re: So Excited! Prospective New Hiking Buddy?
Congrats hikergirl! New fuzzy hiking companions are the best! I got a new friend for my Lilo, since she was taking Paula's loss so badly.
New dog is small and doesn't seem to be a hiker. For one thing, he doesn't like getting his feet wet
or dirty! I know - shocking! But, in the end I think it's best. Handling one dog on the trail and at camp is plenty for me. I hope Jackson loves having a friend!

My mom just got a wonderful dog from Desert Lab Rescue. Rocky needs some leash-training, then he'll be good to roll with the Hate Crew
