I have a friend from out of town visiting and I am unable to hike at the moment so a hike in the Superstitions is out but I got to thinking about a nice Jeep route that would show off some of the finer spots of the Superstitions. I have only been down there a few times and am not really familiar with the roads through and and around there. I am looking for any suggestions on a routes in that area that would be cool to spend the day driving on and see alot of the Superstitions?
Thanks
Ron

Try Forest route 172 to Rogers trough and complete the loop by continuing on Forest Route 650. A trip you won't soon forget.

In response to AZLOT69:
I agree! This recommended day trip loop route would be a good one for a 4WD Jeep. I have driven it before to do exactly what Ron would like to accomplish.
(At the intersection of Hwy 60/Queen Valley Rd., left turn(north) on Queen Valley Road, then 1.8mls to a right turn(east) on Hewitt Station RD- FR357 for 3.0mls, then a left turn on to FR172 for ~9.1mls to a right turn on FR172A to the Rogers Trough TH left turn/FR650 intersection..continue driving ~straight on to FR650 for a number of scenic, some slow-rough 4WD miles to finally exit FR650 at Hwy 60.. ~8mls further east on Hwy 60 from where you earlier turned off Hwy 60 at Queen Valley Road) Have fun and plan for a full day!

That was an outstanding ride. Thanks for the info. I had been as far as Rogers Trough TH prior but that was in the te-wa monterro as a passenger.
