Romero Canyon Sunday Feb. 14
I would like to attempt to incorporate this as a shuttle hike and take the Mt. Lemmon Trail over to sullivan and go back down that way. This would be pretty long (over 18 miles, I believe) and I would need someone who wants to try it and provide a car. I've also heard the Sullivan Trail is a disaster, hoping maybe going downhill might make things a little bit easier (??). Leaving my house at 5:30am.

Don't risk it. I've been on hiatus because I thought I could push through an injury...

Jeff, I hope you'll be back on the trail soon but not too soon.

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.

Thanks for the input. I've never had an injury like this before, so I'm not familiar with the prudent recovery time involved. Common sense just seemed to say that this one isnt happening with how my ankle feels presently.

Best bet - play it safe. They can be terribly difficult to gauge. I got used to inverting my ankles after years of abuse in the service and ignored it when it happened most of the time. Now I'm paying for it....
