We all know that HAZ is the best hiking website in the Southwest. Problem is, there are still people out there (believe it or not) who DON'T KNOW about what we have! So I thought I'd create a Facebook fan page for those on HAZ who are one Facebook, to help them find out about HAZ.
Please join the fan page, and pass the word along to others!
You can also just type "hikearizona.com" into the search engine in Facebook to find it.
And thanks everyone (especially you, Joe!), for all your hard work in making this such an awesome site.

I've periodically posted links to HAZ from my Facebook, but most people apparently haven't looked at it.

I don't care much for Facebook, but I'm on there, so maybe I will look at the HAZ thing. If HAZ is on there, it will definitely be an improvement over what I have seen on there so far!!!

Thanks. It's pretty basic, haven't had time to do anything with it, and not sure if there is anything that would be valuable to put on there, if you have any ideas then please share em. Would rather see all the good discussions happen here on this site. But anything that we could put on there to help promote HAZ couldn't hurt.
Just mainly a way to promote HAZ for free on the web, that was my thought...

No man should go through life without once experiencing healthy, even bored solitude in the wilderness, finding himself depending solely on himself and thereby learning his true and hidden strength
"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." — Henry David Thoreau
Looks like there are about 75 HAZ'ers on the HAZ page on Facebook! Cool.
One great way to spread the word about HAZ from your Facebook page is to do a post on your Facebook wall and paste in the URL for the photo page of the most recent trips you have gone on, which will show thumbnails for your trip as well as the blurb you wrote up. When you post it, it will look something like this:
Help bring Facebookers over to HAZ!
"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived." — Henry David Thoreau
Maybe I'll do that...but most of my triplogs are boring with no notes.

Seemed like an appropriate time to revive this thread. Too bad you can only see when one of your Facebook friends likes something, not a random haz user who isn't one of your fb friends.

That is so sad. That means you don't have any Friends. :kf: But at least no one can UnFriend you.

Well, sort of worked. Just posted hikearizona.com on my FB page. I then copy and pasted it to this page. Thought it would turn out like it did on my Fb page. Still not too computer savy.
