Today I asked a friend if he would load Mapsource onto my Garmin 60Cx--all the western states. He likes geocaching, so he also showed me some stuff on geocaching.com and I went home and used that website to load one of his nearby caches onto my GPS. Maybe tomorrow I'll go looking for it, if I have time. (Huge homework load this week, ugh.) It seems that looking for geocaches could help improve my skills a little.
I know it is kind of a controversial hobby, due to concerns about leaving "trash" out in the boonies, but I'm not going to worry about that right now. It just seems like it would be a good learning tool. Besides, most of my friend's caches are in town or just outside of town, they are not in wilderness areas.
I am a sloooow learner! I've had this particular unit for at least 2 or 3 years. I also have an old Garmin 12 which I still use to play GPS tag. That is another story. GPS tag is fun, but you have to have at least 6 to 10 people, and at least 3 or 4 two-way radios.

I can't wait to play with it! I just don't have the time right now. I got a little exercise by riding my bike to his house for him to load the maps on there, and rode back. All work and no play...
