Flagstaff snow
Was wondering if anyone knows if the snow has melted around Lava Cave. More importantly the road heading out to it. Thanks

Why don't you PM one of the Flag dudes, maybe they just didn't see the message?

Re: Flagstaff snow
The Ft. Valley Experimental Forest is not far from there and the webcam is showing patchy drifts of snow remaining. The NF website says many roads are still closed for winter, and they are preventing traffic on roads where snow has melted and the mud can cause resource damage from motor vehicles right now. There's no specific mention of the Lava tube.
The best bet is to call the Peaks District ranger station and ask them. (Of course that would require waiting until Monday...)
