Speer Hammocks sells a "Make your own hammock kit" - which comes with the pattern AND all the materials... http://www.speerhammocks.com

Hammock Forums has an insane amount of info on all subjects related to hanging in the backcountry... http://www.hammockforums.net

More great items listed on Just Jeff's Hammock Camping page http://www.tothewoods.net

And, better than all the rest, talk to our resident experts Te-Wa and Drewboy. These guys are legends in the AZ hanging community.

Happy hangin'!

or, just cut a bedsheet about 10x5 and tie a knot in each end. then put a larkshead on each knot with some non-stretchy rope (no nylon)
THAT is as cheap as it gets. dont tell wife where missing bedsheet went, trust me. :P
