Looking for 5-7 day backpacking trip

Post by radcyclepdx »

Hi! I am new to AZ. I am hoping to do a 5-7 day backpacking trip in an area where you do not have to bring water for the entire duration of the hike. Any suggestions on where to go?? I'm planning on going around 5/5- 5/11

Thanks!!

starting at the 260 trailhead, take the highline trail to the end, then up the Rim on the pine canyon trail and then head back east using the famous General Crook trail to the military sinkhole trail back to the 260 t/h.
looks like about 110 miles, or 15.65ish miles per day. water along the highline trail and snowmelt/cattle ponds along the rim road and G.C. trail

mmm nothing like filtering from cattle ponds, better yet nothing like filtering from ruts on a FR that gets more traffic from cows than cars! MmmmmMmmmm
