A gaggle of us will be car-camped Saturday just above Dane Spring/Cabin off of FR 321C/A (road sign says 321A, map says 321C), dayhiking the Cabin Loop and associated off-trail wanderings.
We'll camp @ Pine T/H Friday, arriving about 2PM & have all-you-can-eat fish at the Rimside Grill, coupled with volleyball & horseshoes while we dodge the raindrops. (Rimside now has Old Monkeyshine on tap)
We'll head out from the Pine T/H to Dane about 7:45AM Sat.
If anyone is in the area (or wants to be) & wants to do some 'splorin' and/or campin', catch up with us at one of these places.

You better check to make sure everything's open, according to Dschur's July 14th post viewtopic.php?f=45&t=5348 regarding the "Tag" fire:
Camping is only permitted in the designated campground at Knoll Lake. Unless fire conditions warrant, the lake will remain open for day use only. The Babe Haught and General Crook trails will be closed to hiking. The General Crook trail is closed from the Forest Road junction of 300 and 300H to Forest Road 300 and 115, and the Babe Haught trail is closed from the Tonto National Forest up to the rim and into Knoll Lake Campground.

Thanks! I guess that we'll need to stay off the 'trails'. ... Ha-ha, just joking (maybe).paulhubbard wrote:You better check to make sure everything's open, according to Dschur's July 14th post regarding the "Tag" fire:

It appears that our planned routes will not be in this affected area. The area they speak of is really pretty small - we'll thankfully be north and west of this afficted area. The 'Haught' WE are intending is the FRED Haught.

Make sure you head over and hit up the newly-minted stroll through Upper Buck Springs Canyon.

I think you meant to reference FR321C/A and not FR139C/Ahikeaz wrote:will be car-camped Saturday just above Dane Spring/Cabin off of FR 139C/A (road sign says 139A, map says 139C)

D'oh! Yep - that's what I get for going from 'memory'.... (or lack thereof) - Yes, it's 321. I should likely change the original post.Grasshopper wrote:I think you meant to reference FR321C/A and not FR139C/Ahikeaz wrote:will be car-camped Saturday just above Dane Spring/Cabin off of FR 139C/A (road sign says 139A, map says 139C)
