I'm taking some photo-obsessed photogs out to White Sands for MLK weekend... Thought I'd post it over here in case anyone else might be interested in exploring the sand dunes for a few days. We're planning to camp in the backcountry campground, which is reportedly about 1mi from the parking area - so it's a backpack, but only barely. It'll be cool and windy, but it should be PERFECT weather for photos!

Yep, for some very odd reason they placed the assigned campsites way over the dunes... a bit odd since the park is closed down and locked up at night. Pray for lots of clouds! I'll be out there trudging around in the sand... old guy... probably barefoot.
