Canyon Lake TH open time?
According to the guidebook, the parking lot for the Canyon Lake TH is locked overnight and you may have to wait for the security guard making his/her rounds to open it for you. Anybody know what time it generally opens? I like to get an early start on hikes. Thanks.

The funny thing about the locked gate is you can drive right around it. The entrance is split between In and Out. The In Drive has the gate and is locked. The Out Drive is completely open. And they unlock the gate around 7am. Someone pulled up a couple of weeks ago when I was there on a Saturday. We were already on the trail heading in by the time they got there.
