Forest Road 405

Forest Road 405 (Tonto National Forest North half) located apx. four miles west of Kohls Ranch can be accessed with a passenger car. The road leads to Bear Flat and a trail head for trail 186 into Hellsgate Wilderness and trail 178 which exits apx. two miles north of Haigler Canyon Campground. The road is also suitable for mtn. bike with the exception of the last two miles which is quite steep.
