Looking for a hike with lots of beginner level scrambling

Originally from North Carolina, I've done lots of hiking, but not used to scrambling. Did Cathedral Wash with no problem, looking for something more challenging but I can still do solo. Prefer Northern Arizona or Southern Utah. Average fitness. Any suggestions?

Since you went to Cathedral Wash, did you also hike Spencer Trail? It's at the far end of Lee's Ferry. Park at the boat ramp area. No scrambling, just a hike up to the rim where you can see the river and all the way to Page. Otherwise, if you live in Page, get with PageRob about hiking around there.

Scrambling? How about The Ropes Trail? Takes you from the rim down to the river real fast. There is some exposure, so I'd do it with someone else first to make sure you are comfortable with it.

Pagebob, I saw your write up on that one where you say it's for experienced hikers only, that sort of scared me off. Are you still in Page? Looking to do this one any time soon?

Am still in Page until the 18th. Let me know if there is a specific time you'd like to go. I am able to go any day after work, pretty much.
Beginning scrambling and do alone sometimes don't go well together. I'd got with someone first before scrambling alone.

Stewart Mountain is a fun scramble, but it's way too hot right now to even think about trying it!

Maybe some non-tech canyons like Peekaboo or Spooky Gulch, Zebra and Tunnel, some parts of Cottonwood Canyon
A visit to Waterpocket Fold - Grand Wash, many more

Of course check your weather, Escalante Ut is in the 90's right now and some of the sand approaches to those slots have no shade and lots of rock and in the open. It's hot up in that desert area, but compared to around Page you may be conditioned for it. Worse than the heat will be some of those biting flies if around water.
