I'm not sure how the site administrators feel about allowing charity events to be posted on the forum. I don't see any others, but I'm hoping since this is for such a good cause they'll let it slide. Besides, it's better to ask for forgiveness than beg for permission.
Anyway, I'm organizing a team for the 2011 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The goal of the team is to raise breast cancer awareness and to show some support for my mother who was diagnosed earlier this year and is currently in the chemotherapy stage of treatment. We've already met our team's fundraising goal, but not it's membership requirement of ten people. I thought I would open this up to the hiking community to see of they had any interest in joining the team. We'll be participating in the 5K walk, which you can easily triplog as an urban hike. I'd love to meet some of the other members of this site and I know everyone's always looking for a good excuse to get together, so here ya go. Some info you may need:
