Therm-a-rest Pro Lite For Sale

Post by kevinweitzel75 »

I have a Ther-A-Rest Pro Plus reg. size pad for sale. Mint condition, only used on two trips. Selling for $70. I woke up on my last trip with my hips killing me, so I need something with more support. I bought this only a couple months ago. If interested, PM me.

I tell you what te-wa, I thought of you and your hammocks that morning. I love to lay in hammocks, but not to sure about sleeping in one all night. But, I think I might have to try it just once. The only problem is I will have to find one to try before I buy.

there are a bunch of hangers. HAZ has several hanger/members. one day, it will be as easy to borrow a hammock as it is to borrow a tent.
how much do you weigh?

I'm about 220. I have been looking at some hammocks online. Looks like a good set up costs the same as a decent tent, minus the quilts. REI has a single hennesy set up for $200. Dont know if I like the bottom entry.

meh, hennessey sounded good for an 'all inclusive' but we know that the description of such a thing never works for everyone. small tarp, bare coverage. heavy compared to other offerings. ability to exchange suspension is harder on HH than others, like WB and ENO.
so few bugs here.. just go for an eno singlenest and trade out the crap suspension for whoopie slings, tree huggers, and toggles. then you can get a silnylon tarp from any number of USA made cottage dealers for 100-150 dollars. by the way, you used the words "decent" and tent in the same sentence.. but i digress..

The more research I do online, the more appealing these hammocks look. Kind of look cool just hanging from two trees. I love the fact that they are off the ground. I might just spend the money and get one. I have been looking at the ENO hammocks now. Seem a little more... simple. Price and weight are all pretty much the same. $200 and about 3 - 4 pounds. (I have been including the bug net.)

http://www.warbonnetoutdoors.com look at a traveler, netless - or the blackbird, netted. your weight would be good for the 1.7 (ask if he has 1.9) single layer in either model.
