Hello all Hike Az looking at maps etc found trail head Goat Springs trail off Fr 574 via Salt Mine Rd .Has any one ever been or got info

I believe this is SW of Camp Verde. GE shows it to be a pretty good road.

Salt Mine Road usually is a good road as it is usually maintained. I have mad a couple of trips into Cedar Bench from this side, access beyond can be rough. Rugged area and not much info on dependable water sources. Coworker tried to access from the South, Dugas area and he found it rough going and decided against visiting Cedar Bench.

Did a trip on Cold Water Trail a bit further south. Came in from Tule Mesa.
