Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
it's about that time of year. and by that i mean absotively, posilutely gorge-ous.
anyone planning a March/April Superstition Ridgeline any time in this window?
Paul and Kat and I have an interest.. possible start at Peralta and end at the Draw, maybe a key swap w/ 2 groups if enough interest.
count me in. I just wanna know the details. ;)

We're definitely IN, but it needs to be a weekend thing, preferably Sunday, maybe Monday with advanced notice. :PMIC:

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
I'd be down! Sundays are usually good for me. I'll be in Denver for a week in April, but other than that I'm in town. What's the proposed route from Peralta? Are you wanting to do Peralta to Fremont Saddle and cut across via the whole Dacite thing to West Boulder Saddle and then head up? I'm just excited to see te-wa actually do a dayhike

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
We've never done the Ridgeline before so I'm unsure of which route to take. Probably prefer the easiest one (if there is such an animal?)

I'm way interested if it's on a Monday.
Anyone know a good Phoenix hike that's similar in difficulty?

@paulhubbard
The typical route would be Siphon to Carney which is how I've always done it. Making Peralta the starting point opens a whole new can of worms.

@Tough_Boots
I like worms. They are high in protein! I'd be interested if you guys end up setting a date and it falls after the arrival. After picketpost summit/circumference and circlestone/mound mountain. I'm pretty sure Muesli would even dig this.

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
i think by Peralta they mean Carney. the t/h there is not open to cars anymore? so park at the Don's camp and walk over. still, 11-12 miles, a long day. we'll need daylight, but not heat. Mid March sounds fantastic to me.
i'll set this up if there is interest!

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
Carney is still open. You just have to park in the lot next to the road. The TH used to be farther back but that area is now closed to cars.

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
so, takers for early/mid March? Kat and :Paul:, Felecia and myself. start at jacob's crosscut and end at Carney canyon area.
finish the hike with a craft beer at the Handlebar in AJ. (30 craft handles, and decent, mesquite wood fired food)

no prob, espi. just keep your eyes on this thread. if more than 5 of us wanna go, ill go public. (since that will require much more logistics/planning/carpools)

Re: Supes Ridgeline - who's planning?
well it took me just, and I mean, just under 7 hours last month. We got off trail a bit and it ended up being 12.5 miles. If I won't be holding your group up, it sounds fun.
oh and the handlebar works too.

But have you all seen Te-Wa hike? He's smooth and fast on the trail.
However, if he is going to slow the pace

Tibber
For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
