Outdoor loving beer company!
Wow, my dream of opening a brewing company is so close. This past few months has been crazy, and I hope in the years to come I see all of you having a fine pint of AZWBC with me at the pub. Our kickstarter funding project link is the best to get more info for now. http://www.facebook.com/azwbc on Facebook.

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
people: i had the rare chance to test drive his "Refuge India Pale Ale (ipa)" and it was very, very good. I have tried at least 40 brands and flavors of IPA, and this one sits in the TOP FIVE.
well done, Jonathan.

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
I have been fortunate enough to sample their Refuge IPA, Red Rock Secret Red Ale, Pecan Brown Ale, Superstition Stout, and Paiute Pale. All were exceptional! I've also embarked on many a backpacking trip with Jon, and I've gotten to witness his passion for wilderness, beer, and, quite frankly, everything else in life. This dude has passion and does NOT half-pumpkin things! I guarantee AZ Wilderness Brewing Co is going to do great things.

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
I thot the Pecan Brown Ale that I got a taste of at HAZfest was just wonderful!
Good luck with your venture! I'm sure it has been quite exciting.

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
This is what's called a shameless bump! :guilty:
I noticed that the AZWBC kickstarter is now over 75% of the way to their goal, with only a week to go. Anybody interested in helping out a longtime HAZ contributor get a new brewery going should check things out here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/783 ... brewing-co
And as you are contemplating other worthwhile causes to invest your tax refund, don't forget to keep HAZ in mind too. I'm sure the devteam would appreciate it!

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
I never quite understood all that so thx for bringing it to my attention. The brown pecan ale or is it pecan brown ale? is worth the donation in and of itself.chumley wrote:This is what's called a shameless bump! :guilty:

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
Angela- Jon tweaked the recipe and had a tasting last night for those who pledged $100 or over- The Pecan Pie Brown is even better now than it was back in January!
Anyone interested should come to Flanny's on Elliot and McClintock tomorrow (Saturday) night! AZWBC will be getting a couple kegs, and the profits will go to their Kickstarter campaign! Plus Flanny's is a great place to get a beer.

Re: Outdoor loving beer company!
Who knows what the right thread for this is ... ideally in a triplog if @jonnybackpack ever posts one here again  (I'll give him a break, apparently running a brewery is a little time-consuming -- pumpkin, they're in Brazil right now doing a collaboration brew!).
Anyway, a few weeks ago Jon and Patrick joined a group of HAZzers on a trip to Deer Creek/Thunder River.
They posted a highly entertaining video to their social media that many here might enjoy. Great shots of Tapeats Narrows and lots of waterfalls. With cameos by yours truly, 9L, BiFrost, and Tough_boots.
Joe is sure to enjoy the footage of mice in camp... ;)

Gorgeous Country! Well done guys! And yes, the Mice are pretty sweet too!
