Has anyone been up that way lately? I know that 89 us currently open and that they are currently getting snow. What I'd really like to know is the condition of the forest roads and the forest in general. With the hot/cold weather we have had, I'm afraid it will be a muddy mess up there. If the snow is good, we may go up for some snowshoeing. If they are clear, we may do some hiking in the area. If its muddy, we'll just skip it.
I was also wondering if FR22/Ryan rd is at a low enough elevation to be clear this time of year. Any help if appreicated.

Most of the roads to the backcountry locations are closed via barricade during winter weather / snow /etc. Guess you could snowshoe in---but they don't want to have people driving in and becoming stuck and then requiring rescue.

I'm calling the range back tomorrow and they should have some info from those that were driving out there this week.
