Water in the Rincons?

Post by kveeder »

Has anyone been up to Grass Shack or Douglas Springs in the Rincons in the last couple of weeks? Was there any water at either of these locations?

I was at Douglas Springs on March 17. There was a trickle in the creek. We ran into some backpackers who had stayed at Grass Shack, and they reported water there. There was still a substantial amount of snow visible on the eastern and northern slopes above about 6,000 feet. However, that was 2 weeks ago and it's been very warm. I'd put Grass Shack as iffy.
