Rob's backpacking trip

Post by PaleoRob »

I was worried that I wouldn't get to backpack this year, for the first time since 2003. Looks like something is going to happen through! Over gotten the spousal approval to make a trip next week. I'm looking at either Sunday- Monday or Sunday through Thursday. Where? I'm waffling between Sedona, the Sites, or Petrified Forest. Anyone interested in a backpack next week?

Damn Rob, can't believe you got no takers. It's too short of notice for me, but I would love to go with you sometime

Too soon for me. I'll be counting the days before long, though.

Pumpkin, Rob....I have to run the Gerbil wheel Monday-->Friday and can't do this short notice. Have a great time wherever you decide to go.

I think it'll be Sedona for sure now. Just need to narrow down the trail at this point (and finish grades, and finish my presentation for SVP, and and and...). I'll still post updates here in case anyone wants to hop in last minute.

Well my wife's uncle is coming into town tomorrow at 8:30AM and my parents are getting into town Monday afternoon. Looks like this isn't going to happen. Which sucks. I guess I'll try to have to get in a weekend trip or sometime over Christmas break (where the pumpkin can I backback around Christmas time?).

There's lots of places Rob, it will most likely be desert type areas, is all.... :)
