Intense Overnighter

Looking for an overnighter for next month. Mileage is not an issue as we normally hike at 3.5 mph + fully loaded. Water is necessary, prefer dog friendly (strong hikers also) and if possible hanger friendly. What have you got?

either:

safford/morenci trail with a night at bonita creek (longer shuttle)

or

AZT picketpost t/h to kelvin bridge (shorter shuttle)

both are wonderful = i'd do them again.

Vince, grab three maps from three different wilderness areas, spin around then with eyes closed, slam a finger down on the map, there's your destination, now make a route :D easy as that my friend!

I think she sprained her ankle during the spin around part of those instructions. But it coulda been her knee.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

That is pretty much a shuttle or an out-and-back. You could find some game trails, but that is Game Management Unit 37B and is during prime Javelina season. If you go too far off trail wear bright orange.
