Going to go on a "Spring Finding" hike to Hackberry Spring on Tuesday, Nov. 20th

Leaving the Horse Parking Lot on First Water Road at 0900.
We will hike to Hackberry Spring then on to Garden Valley and return via the Trailhead and back to the Horse Lot.
This is open to anyone who wants to come along and meet some HAZ'ers in the wild and possibly stop at the Blueberry Mine Store for a refreshing cool one following the hike. :)

On every trip into the Superstitions, I find another Gold Mine. Today the mine was filled with Memories. I can not wait for the next trip.

Great trip so glad I was able to fit it in before the flight. Really great meeting you all and looking forward to the next one.

The spring was right where I last left it :D Presently there's not much water coming out of the pipe, but it's been that kind of a year. That was an easy beer to win :sl:

It has!!! :y: And it's not where the big Cairn was, where we thought, it was further up even than that. Good thing there was a Pool there, we needed it to finish putting out a Campfire.... :o :sk:
@mnlumberjack Best Beer I ever bought, Thanks Jack!!! Now, about that Arch.... :kf: :sl:

Been at the hackberry trees several times and folks would arrive asking about the location of the spring. Most folks think a spring in the desert should have palm trees. Another favorite spring is located near the smelter ruin at Reymert.

The GPS route for this hike can be found here;
http://hikearizona.com/map.php?GPS=13293

This clockwise route makes a nice combination of the Hackberry Spring route and the Garden Valley Loop, with a scenic slot canyon tour connecting the horse lot and the First Water Creek. This combination loop contains lots of views of famous Superstition landmarks including Weavers Needle, Flat Iron, Ridgeline and a distant view of Four Peaks.
