An interesting dream

My sister-in-law had a strange dream last night, which makes more sense if you understand her a little better. She never goes beyond the pavement, or even out onto the pavement if at all possible, but she likes to look at pictures of our adventures. Mrs. big_load's descriptions of being cold, tired, dirty, or seeing wild animals make her glad to live the indoor life, but she remains curious about what's out there.

Anyway, she dreamed that Mrs. big_load and I would stand on the edge of a cliff, put our hands on each other's shoulders, then step off together into the abyss. Instead of plummeting to our deaths, we could soar to anywhere we pleased. She couldn't do that herself in the dream, but she felt like it was something we did as a regular means of travel.

I wonder what Alston's friends would make of a dream like that.
