Cure for the HAZ Addiction?

Post by FreespiritAZ »

Okay, so it is official. I am an HAZ junkie. You all have got me lovin' the community of this site :y: This is good, but also kind of bad, since I have homework to do.....sigh. Any tips for keeping your HAZ logon time at a reasonable level?

Well yeah that would be ideal, but I can't get out to the trail during the weekdays because of work and school. Otherwise, I SO would :P

Freespirit - if you find a cure, keep it to yourself. I for one think this is probably the healthiest addiction I've ever had! :y:

I don't mean a cure for hiking. I mean a cure for spending so much time on the HAZ website haha. I adore hiking and can't get enough of it, but I find myself being a procrastinator with this website. My homework is suffering :(

I probably need some kind of 1200 step program.... Wait! that's called hiking... berkforbes already thought of it. Maybe a PDA with satellite internet access so I can check-in during breaks, planned stops, lunch, after-dinner, early evening... :o

After looking at my self-propelled totals, I wonder if it would it be bad if I asked the devteam to calculate the number of hours I've been on HAZ this year? :o :scared:

I've cut way back on my posts this past year. For one thing, I haven't done very much hiking this year, due to living in Costa Rica for four months, and also some financial and family issues that required my undivided attention during the summer. On the 24-day Grand Canyon river trip in Sept/Oct I did do a bit of hiking, and need to post up some more of the hikes and photos on here.

Also, I've found there are fewer topics I'm interested in discussing. I know I could start new topics, but it's time to let others have a go at that!

Pretty soon there should be goggles with a heads-up display so you could just watch all the time as you are hiking. Like the heads-up display in a fighter jet. Then we would never have to be without HAZ. And we could tell fellow HAZards by their goggles

Already exist. Here's Google's Sergy Brin modeling them:
