December 27 - Pine Mountain
The Arizona Trail Association, and the USFS, are scheduling a half-day event to start restoring this section of the Arizona Trail to National Scenic Trail standards. Regularly scheduled events are planned through the winter and spring of 2013. Future events will involve the entire 8 mile passage with drive-to access at the mid point. We will be meeting at the Bushnell Tanks exit on AZ 87 at 8:30 AM, hiking a short distance to the Trail and working to the south. Work will consist of mostly brushing and grubbing so bring appropriate work clothing and a lunch. A fully stocked ATA tool trailer will be available.
