Thinking about doing Passage 7 on New Years Day. Anyone been out that way recently? What can I expect? Is the trail easy to follow? Bit worried about losing my way or finishing before dark. Early morning is probably a good idea as I hike pretty slow (2.7-3 mph).
Any thoughts input would be appreciated!

Re: Passage #7 tomorrow
Passage #7 should be well-marked with carsonites and cairns and and does not have any large changes in elevation. Are you an ATA member? The databook is a great hiking resource, it gives mileages between landmarks and indicates water sources and is free with ATA membership. Sounds like a great way to start the year!
