Reavis Falls vs Lower LaBarge vs Pinon

Post by hippiepunkpirate »

I'm planning a Supes backpack for the 23-24 of this month with some other dudes. It may be too early to tell, but I'm wondering if we'll get enough precip with this weekend's storm for Reavis Falls to be flowing well in a couple weeks? If not, I'm thinking a trip into Lower LaBarge via Canyon Lake might be a nice option instead. I was also considering Pinon Camp as an easier low stress option, but wonder about finding water nearby there two weeks from now. Mainly I'm just looking for opinions on expected Reavis Falls flow so I can get an idea.

I think 9L and boots are out there today, so watch for the triplogs and photos when they get posted. I don't think the light precip today will make a dent in anything, but there is so much water out there from that last storm, that I'd be surprised if you can't find a suitable source just about anywhere out there. A photogenic flow over the falls is another matter however...
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

just posted my set... the falls are putting on a real good show right now-- it could be totally different in a couple weeks, though. Water is never an issue at Reavis Falls, though. The creek is partially spring fed so even when the falls are a trickle-- there's plenty down stream.
