International Space Station- Flyover @ 6/6/13pm

Post by Grasshopper »

For those interested, within our central AZ area, the International Space Station will be quite visible tonight between 8:02-8:08pm for viewing in a SW to NE flyover direction. Those HAZers doing the Superstition Wilderness "night hike" tonight.. take a look! :)

I have a friend who tells me when that is going to happen, so I go outside and see it quite often. It's kind of fun because it's so bright. The other night the flyover lasted a long time, also.

Live tracking of the ISS.

http://www.n2yo.com/?s=25544

For people with a Scanner or a ham license you can listen for the ISS also as it passes

FM VOICE North and South America-Caribbean-Greenland-Australia-South Asia
•Downlink 145.800 (Voice from ISS)
•Uplink 144.490 (Voice to ISS)

If you are using a handheld scanner open the squelch. You may hear the crew on the ISS talking with a school.
