Secret Fire

Post by fotogirl53 »

The Secret Fire is about 15 acres on steep slopes in the Secret Mountain Wilderness/Loy Canyon area. As of this morning, it is about 40% contained. There are road closures and use restrictions in place. The Arizona Daily Sun is reporting this fire.

FYI: This is the same area where a plane crashed a few years ago and it took a couple years to locate the crash site and victims.
Allergic to cities.

When I was up in the Horsethief Basin fire tower yesterday, I was listening to their radio transmissions. Pretty cool stuff. They had a Sky Crane flying and it sounded like some small slurry bombers.
Understand, when you eat meat, that something did die. You have an obligation to value it - not just the sirloin but also all those wonderful tough little bits.

Ssshhhhh! Don't spread this fire's location around. For all the obvious reasons.
