Sank my GoPro in WCC, Hanging Gardens
I lost my GoPro on the Hanging Gardens hike yesterday. The next long swim after White Box, The long narrow one, about the middle, 2nd stone ledge on the right. Pretty sure its at the bottom of the channel, but in case it turns up on one of the ledges I'm posting up. I looked for it with goggles, but it was too darn cold and dark to reach the bottom. Made me feel like I was getting stabbed in the ears-weird. Its a long shot, but worth a try.

Re: Sank my GoPro in WCC, Hanging Gardens
I know how you feel :tt: . I lost a new orange Lumix TS4 camera at the rope swing last year right before dark. The worst part was I saw the camera swam down to grab it and when I did I pushed in down deeper into the muck
and then the sediment made the extremely murky and I could not see anything. Even after I borrowed someone’s goggles and used my head lamp I didn’t have any luck. I went into OCD mode and came back the following weekend with a net my own goggles and I was determined to find the camera and didn’t have any luck. When I purchased the new camera I also ordered a floating camera strap. Good luck I hope it turns up I know how frustrating it is. :yuck:

I've always been leery of that. My waterproof camera is awesome ... but it doesn't float. I try to keep it strapped to my wrist, but some photos are difficult that way. I have always considered getting one of those mini lifeguard "buoy" floaters (I think technically they are keychain accessories) to attach to the strap because it sinks fast when I drop it. Tough to find those in AZ though. It's a beach shop accessory.
I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Understand, when you eat meat, that something did die. You have an obligation to value it - not just the sirloin but also all those wonderful tough little bits.

Yah, I've been doing all my water hikes with it in my pocket and have been just fine. Not sure what happened this time. I assume it didn't get in all the way. A guy at the spring had the orange floaty attachment for his GoPro. I knew about it, but hadn't got around to it. My luck ran out.
