North Rim

Post by JAB1 »

Looking for ideas for N. Rim hikes...will be there with friends Aug 10-14. Am interested in photographing wildflowers. Also, plan to do some hopeful lightning images ( lightning trigger, etc). If you are experienced with N Rim hikes for the above, please name a few hikes for both wildflowers and views for lightning storms.

Uh anywhere. N rim is beautiful no matter where you are but same can be said for anything...try view points or rim trails from Bright Angel Point, cape Royal, ken Patrick...all great trails or so I've heard...
If you click find in the upper left corner here on HAZ you can search for specific hikes based on mileage, wildflowers, peaks etc... if you hadn't tried that already :)

Good luck with lightning I haven't seen any since Thursday...but it might pick up again, ask our local HAZ weather geek ;)

Aspen and bison on the north rim I know that, the furry cows were out with a vengeance on sunday, not sure about wildflowers, there's not many on the south...I. saw some awesome photos from widforss trail but that's all I know...didn't help at all did I? :D
