Pine Mtn Verde Rim Loop

Post by slowandsteady »

Saturday, October 26th

Karl and I are looking for a casual hike hoping to catch the fall colors and some good pics. :FG:

The final road into the trailhead was pretty beat up last year, so a high clearance vehicle would be required for the last section. We have room for two people in our car.

Can I arrange to have one of the two extra spots in your car? I can meet you most anywhere. It sounds like an interesting hike.

Sure thing you can have one of the spots! I hope you don't object to stopping in Rock Springs for pie on the way home... :D

Update on when we'd like to meet up for the hike. I believe it's about 2 hours with the dirt road part so to start hiking by 830 we need to meet around 630. Hope that's not too early for everyone. We can figure out rides and meet up spot as it gets closer.

Hmmmm, aaahhh!!!! I have a bunch of relatives in town with more coming in on Friday...I guess they have a Potluck planned for Saturday...I've already been rude and took off for two days right after some of them got here.... :y: I'm going to keep myself as "Interested" just in case I can't take it anymore and need to escape, risking the backlash from my immediate family.... :o
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

Thanks for putting this event together. Thx to Karl for driving too.

The :FG: fall colors :FG: on the Nelson Trail were Ash Creek/Basset Peak like; especially when we hiked in and along the dry creek bed. We were so lucky and the temperature was just right; the company even better.

Nice to meet you Mike. Oh and thx for the great apple slices Kathy!
For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
