Rogers Trough to Reavis

Post by FOTG »

Hey I know from talking to others that sometimes getting to TH is biggest obstacle because lack of 4wd...Anyways, I am going to Reavis this weekend, going in Rogers Trough TH, which is also starting point of Supers portion of AZ trail and a cool TH to start from overall. I have a few sites along way I am going to visit and then meeting up with an old friend already out there..However, if someone wants a ride to TH to do their own thing, or just wants to hike into Reavis let me know, I leave from Phoenix so don't mind picking someone up along the way. I think someone also has an event posted for Reavis this weekend, so if someone was trying to get out for that I don't mind sharing a car, if it helps someone get out on the trails. Also if you were going to day-hike to Reavis, Rogers Trough is one of better options as it would be about a 12-13 mile round trip, vs a 21-22 mile trip via the north road..Finally, if you dont mind two boring guys looking at old piles of rocks, my friend and I will be going to a couple of ruins sites on Saturday located in Reavis Valley and you are welcome to come along...

(I swear I don't usually go to Reavis this often, it is like my third trip in four weeks, go on one hike, come back with two more ideas for a hike you know how that goes)

That's really nice of you to offer! I love that area, but there's no way I'll take my Vehicle all the way in...Another Weekend, I would have considered it, but this is pretty short notice and I already have another commitment. ;)
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

BTW if you put a date up at the top here it will show up on the calendar. Otherwise it's just a forum post.

@Outdoor Lover
It ended up being real short notice for me to, got an itch because someone from HAZ gave me some great details about a set of ruins in area, but needed an extra day to get in so left Friday after work..made it to Reavis Valley just before 1 am..and had a pretty intense weekend to say the least :)
