Parking & Access between Mining Camp and Broadway TH's

Post by vanman »

Just wondering if anybody knows of a good spot to park back in the neighborhood between Mining Camp & Broadway trailheads? Anything around Pioneer St. or Shiprock St? Looking at satellite maps, there are several prominent trails heading towards the mountains, especially near the end of Greasewood St.

It would help eliminate needing a shuttle if going in Spirit or Monument and out Siphon. PM me if you don't want to post that info to the forum. Thanks!

Don't know if this helps, but...

When I did Spirit Canyon earlier this year I parked at the water tanks at the end of Superstition Blvd. There was plenty of room just off the road on the gravel and no visible "No Parking" signs. Does that mean it's okay to park there? Who knows? I do know that as you head through the neighborhood to the "trailhead" listed in the Spirit Canyon hike description, signs start popping up everywhere. I was able to avoid marked private property, but probably unintentionally crossed unmarked private property. Once you break free of the houses there is a clear trail leading up the mountain.
